NERD HO!!

Greetings from the road! After the past few months of playing some great shows with local heros: Tommy Filliault, Ryan Hommel, Wailing Dave Robinson, Brooks Williams and others as well as reconnecting with a past student for some really cool lessons--Thanks Wil!, I find myself in a suburb of Chicago on my first night off since halloween.

Turns out, MC Frontalot (Famous NerdCore Rapper) was hitting the road with other Nerd Rappers MC Lars and YTCrackerFront's regular drummer needed to take care of things at home so i was asked to fill in. I was happy to get on the road again! We began rehearsals the last week of October, with a grueling schedule averaging 8 hours a day. Lars flew in on the last day and wanted Brandon (bass player for Frontalot) and myself to back him as well. This made for even more material cramming. We did a few warm-up shows in Long Island, New Jersey and Albany then stated heading west.

Last night we played this ancient rock club in Bowling Green Ohio. We had a good turn out and met some wonderful people Thanks to all for the energy and support!

We crossed the Chicago line early this evening. Its cold and rainy. We are staying with some friends of Lars in Addison, which is about 30 min west of the city. Its nice to have a chance to do some laundry and rest up. Really looking forward to the show. I have friends in town, whom I haven't seen in a long time and it will be great to connect with them. Ok, gotta run...
